How Do Flow-Tech’s Frequencies Work and Can They Affect My Brain?

Standard Water Heaters | Tankless Water Heaters | Water Filtration & Purification

Can Flow-Tech’s frequencies affect your brain? Your health is important. That’s why questions like these are crucial to ask when shopping for new technology on the market.

Flow-Tech doesn’t harm your brain or any other part of your body. Flow-Tech treats hard water by using low frequencies to temporarily affect the calcium and magnesium in your water, so they stick to each other and nowhere else.

Okay, sure, you’re thinking, what does an LA plumbing company know about health? A whole bunch. We take care of the public’s health every single day with our water treatment. With our combined 30+ years of water treatment experience and weekly training, we strive to provide you with the most accurate, up-to-date information.

We don’t want to keep this knowledge to ourselves, so we will show you in this post how a Flow-Tech system works, how its frequencies compare to other things you may use daily, and above all else, and why it does not pose a risk to your health.

Flow-Tech

How Flow-Tech Works: 3 Key Factors

To understand how a Flow-Tech works, we need to give you a simple crash-course in what the following terms mean:

  1. Signal

  2. Frequency

  3. Hertz

Trust me. It’s a lot easier than science class would have you believe. I even thought they were difficult to understand until I researched them.

  1. Signals can be anything in the world that gives or transmits information like:

  • If your friend calls out your name to get your attention. They’re using their voice to signal they want your attention.

  • If you’re reading this on a computer, the monitor signals to you there’s information on this page.

Signals then are not bad for you, and neither is Flow-Tech.

  1. There are many ways to measure signals, and in the case of Flow-Tech, it’s frequency. Frequency is a way to describe the number of times something happens, such as:

  • How many times your friend says your name.

  • How many times you bounce your foot nervously while learning science info on a plumber’s website.

As annoying as it can be getting called by your friend over and over, the frequency is not harmful.

  1. Frequency is measured in something called Hertz (Hz), which means one per second. So...

  • If your friend calls for you 2 times a second, they’re calling you at a frequency of 2 Hz.

  • If you’re bouncing your foot while you’re reading this 4 times per second, you’re moving your foot at 4 Hz.

Like these examples, the frequencies from Flow-Tech don’t hurt you, but my bad pun might.

So, a Flow-Tech sends a small signal (in this case, the information is a wave) through minerals in the water at a frequency of 140 kHz (number of signals per second).

What Frequency Does Flow-Tech Use vs. Other Objects?

Since you’re probably not a scientist, 140KHz doesn’t mean anything to you, so you’re still left with the question of how low is the low-frequency of Flow-Tech?

Below is a table we put together that gives you frequencies of objects you might encounter daily. It’s arranged from high to low frequencies.

Frequencies of Common Objects vs Flow-Tech (From high to low frequencies)

As you can see, the frequency of Flow-Tech is very low. Your smartphone has a frequency of 200,000 times more than Flow-Tech! Even a TV’s frequency is 380 times that of a Flow-Tech.

Some studies are being done right now that say smartphones may have a negative effect on the body due to their high frequencies, but you don’t have to worry about that with Flow-Tech.

Flow-Tech technicians have even tested the system on pacemakers to see if the frequencies could interfere with them, and the unit caused no harmful effects.

The signal in a Flow-Tech is so weak that it only extends a very short distance from the piping network, so it’s completely safe.

How is Flow-Tech Effective If The Frequency is So Low?

How can we be sure that Flow-Tech even works at all if the frequency is so low? We’re glad you asked.

In our examples in section one, we got:

  • 2 Hz for your friend calling your name

  • 4 Hz for your nervous tapping

Our friend’s voice while calling our name and our foot tapping still happen effectively even with low frequencies.

Even electronics with low frequencies are still effective. Here are some things that operate at the 50-60 Hz range:

  • Coffee pot

  • Juicer

  • Fridge

  • LED bulb

  • Air conditioner

  • Gaming system

If these items work daily, the Flow-Tech will work for you with no problem.

Should I Get Flow-Tech?

Ultimately, you decide what’s best for your home and family. However, we can say that you do need some form of water treatment, whether that’s Flow-Tech or not. Whatever the case, you know how Flow-Tech works and that it can’t harm you with its lower than TV level frequencies.
